Rose Grigsby, 86, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, February 06, 2013 at Memorial Hospital Nursing Home in Woodstock.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 11, 2013 at the Ottawa Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Ottawa. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, prior to services at Ottawa Funeral Home.
Rose was born June 18, 1926, in Chicago, Illinois, to Charles and Louise (Kleminic) Okleshen. She married Joe Grigsby on March 10, 1945 in Winfield, Kansas. He preceded her in death on March 3, 2000.
She is survived by two sons, Scott (JoAnn) of Hampshire, IL and Thomas (Zoraida) of Arizona; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Kurdts of Oak Lawn, IL; and one brother, Orlando (Carol) Okleshen of Richton, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Daniel; two sisters; and nine brothers.
Pallbearers will be Jim Pattermann, Dan Pattermann, Dylan Grigsby, Jim Verhaeghe, John Kurdts and Lannie Cunningham.
Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
