Funeral service for Edward Bennett, 72, 2161 McKay street will be held in the Regina funeral home Monday with Rev. Harry Joyce officiating. Mr. Bennett died at his home Thursday. Born in Greermount, Que., he came west in 1907 settled in the Rouleau district then moved to the Avonlea district in 1912 and farmed there until 1923 when he moved to the Regina district. He farmed there until his retirement in 1942 when he moved into Regina. Mr. Bennett was an active member of the Orange and Odd-fellows lodges.
Surviving besides his wife is a daughter, Mrs. J. H. Robertson, an adopted son, Duncan, brother, Jim Bennett, 1313 Retallack street.
