Edgar S. Adams Sr., 59, a sales representative for the Laundry Machinery Sales Co., died at 6:45 p.m. at his residence, 817 Airline Park blvd.
A native of Little Rock, Ark., Mr. Adams came to this city 33 years ago. He had worked for the same firm for 30 years.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday from the Jefferson home of Jacob Schoen & Son Inc., 2310 Hickory. The Rev. J.D. Gray, pastor of First Baptist Church, will officiate. Internment will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Survivors include Mr. Adams' widow, Mrs. E.S. Adams Sr.; one son, Edgar Jr., and one daughter, Dorothy Nell both of New Orleans; two brothers, Otis Adams Sr., Harahan; John W. Adams, Little Rock, and three grandchildren.
Active pallbearers will be Benjamin Frilot, Michael Stein, Frank Morris, W. W. Easley, James Rittiner, and Lawrence Bright.
Honorary pallbearers will be Earl O. Rush, Alex Chauffe, Reynolds Minneville, Damian Minneville, Jules Sandras, C. W. Cantrelle, Eddie Nugent, Ben Levy, L. P. Elkins, Lebby Cline, and Anthony Maggio.
