Roxie Lamb Brown, 86, of 697 Tessentee Rd., Franklin, died Friday, May 11, at a Franklin hospital after a period of declining health.

She was a native of Clayton, Ga., the daughter of the late Terrell and Laura Curtis Lamb.

Surviving is her husband, John T. Brown of Franklin; four daughters, Lucille Brewer of Matthews, Vickie Watts and Ruth Brooks both of Lake Burton, Ga., Jewell Cooper of Charlotte; one son, Edward (Bill) Brown of Paul Creek; six sisters, Belle Lamb, Pearl Lamb, Fannie Lamb and Delcie Black all of Dillard, Ga., Ethel Corn of Clayton, Ga., Lizzie Morrow of Cherryville; five grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Tessentee Baptist Church, of which she was a member. Revs. Carl Carpenter and Alton Dendy officiated. Burial was in the Dryman's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bud Carpenter, Paul Anderson, Billy Harbuck, Terrell Dodgins and Morris Stiwinter.
