Walter Taylor, 61, of 413 Taylor Boulevard, died January 16 at the Taylor County Hospital of heart failure. He was born December 17, 1907, the son of the late Lewis Taylor and Sallie Dix Taylor, surviving. He was married to Ruth Kidwell Taylor, surviving. Mr. Taylor was a long-time employee of the Bourbon Cooperage of Lebanon, and a member of the Meadowview Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Saturday, January 18 in the Lyon Funeral Home with the Rev. D. L. Druien in charge of the service. Burial was in Brookside. Besides his wife, he is survived by the following children: Mrs. Florence Mitchell, Mrs. Helen Walker, Joe Henry Taylor, Jimmy Taylor, and Michael Taylor, City; and Mrs. Peggy Bishop of Greensburg. Pallbearers were J. M. Tharp, Wade Kearnes, Rollin Cecil, Elmer Perkins, Willie Davis, and Henry Wilson.
