MACTAGUE--Ruth, died on February 9, 2013 in Broomall, PA. The daughter of Eva Konzelman Mactague and George Mactague, she was born on Nov. 16, 1921 in Philadelphia, PA. Residing in the Philadelphia area throughout her life, Ruth worked as a secretary for FMC and for several medical practices. Professionally trained as a contralto, Ruth sang for a Philadelphia opera company and a synagogue in the city area, as well as a Philadelphia choral group. She is survived by her family of loving cousins of the Philips, Locraft and Williams families who fondly remember her wonderful sense of humor and caring concern. She is especially remembered for gracing several family weddings with her beautiful voice. For the past 20 years Ruth resided at Rosemont Presbyterian Village in Bryn Mawr, PA. She was a member of the Proclamation Presbyterian Church in Bryn Mawr where she participated in the Eagles senior fellowship group and enjoyed volunteering for kindergarden summer church school. Friends from her church, Sarah Marshall, and Stuart and Marion Sacks, are remembered with gratitude for the daily support they gave her. A graveside service will be held on Wed., Feb. 13, at 2 pm at West Laurel Hill Cemetery, 215 Belmont Ave., Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004. Presiding will be Stuart Sacks, Ruth's pastor and friend. Arrangements are being handled by Doyle Stonelake Funeral Home, 83-85 E. Baltimore Ave., Lansdowne, PA. 19050.
