BAIR, Pauline age 80 of Franklin, died Sunday, January 18, 2009 at Close to Home, Middletown. She was born November 27, 1928 in Frenchburg, Kentucky the daughter of McKinley Ratliff and Inez (Simpkins) Ratliff. Pauline enjoyed bluegrass music and her flower gardening. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Shelby Bair; one daughter, Sheila (Dennis) McConnell of Monroe; two sons, Shelby W. (Rhodell) Bair and Sonny (Sheila) Bair both of Franklin; two grandchildren, Shannon W. Bair of Monroe, Adrienne Gavula of Columbus; two great granddaughters, Audra Stankoff of Gratis and Scarlett Bair of Monroe; and a sister, Janice Fortune of Middletown. The Bair family thanks VITAS Hospice and the staff at Close to Home for their care of Pauline. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Shelly Stankoff; her parents; a sister, Mary Lawson; and two brothers, Shirley and Jimmy Ratliff. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with Reverend David Stidham officiating. Visitation will be 6-8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Butler County Memorial Park. .
