William Henry Isaman, third child of Ellen
and Andrew Isaman was born in Dallas
County, Iowa on August 15, 1871 and
departed this life on October 20, 1940, at
the age of 69 years, 2 months and 5 days.
When a child he moved with his parents to
what now is known Reserville neighborhood
southwest of Frankfort, Kansas. There he
grew to manhood.
On July 3, 1894, he was united in marriage
to Minnie Alderman at Frankfort, Kansas.
to this union was born eight children, seven
of whom survive; four sons, Henry Albert
Isaman, William Clarence Isaman, Fred
James Isaman all of Vliets, Kansas, George
Isaman preceded him in death at the age of
five years; four daughters, Mrs. Pearl
Connet, Vliets, Kansas, Mrs. Della Shell of
Frankfort, Kansas, Mrs. Minnie Clear, of
Vermillion, Kansas, and Mrs. Florence Dees
Vallejo, California. Besides his wife and
children; one brother and two sisters; ten
grandchildren and one great-grandson
mourn his passing.
Nearly his entire life has been spent in the
Frankfort, Vliets and Vermillion areas,
except for three years spent at Potter, Kansas
there he became a member of the Potter
Methodist Church.
At home was held a short service at 2:00
p.m. The service at the church in Vliets
was at 2:30 p.m. with Reverend Howard
Sanders.
Pallbearers were Earl Owen, Don Back-
Man, Lester Durham, Clarence Steele,
Emory Hull and James Brophy.
Burial was in the Vermillion Cemetery,
Vermillion, Kansas.
