Ruble Thrasher, 73, died July 14, 2003, at North Mississippi Medical Center.

He was born in Alcorn County to Jacob "Jake" and Doshia Leatherwood Thrasher. He was a retired automobile mechanic and truck driver. He attended Cedar Grove United Pentecostal Church.

Services were at Cedar Grove United Pentecostal Church, Rev. Danny Robins officiating. Burial was in Fellowship Cemetery. W.E. Pegues was in charge.

Survivors, four daughters, Stella Bryant (Larry) of Saltillo, Gloria Jean Thrasher of Mantachie, Janice Childers (Steven) of Guntown, and Patty Edge (Clem) of Mantachie, four sons, Michael Joe (Lucy) of Mantachie, Daniel (Fredia) of Saltillo, Roger Dale (Barbara) of Mantachie, and Chris Thrasher of Mantachie, three sisters, Anna Mae Hartley and Quilla Dean Dreaper both of Mobile, AL.,Liller Hallmark of Tupelo, 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Jewel Mae Dill Thrasher, on Dec. 19, 2001, two sisters, Flora Presley and Mary McFerrin, three brothers, Ruben, Jim Henry, and Alton "Jack" Thrasher.
