Elizabeth lived most of her life in Wayne and Monroe counties, New York, except for several years about 1860, when she resided with her husband, Harry in Geauga County, Ohio. She and her husband, Harry Bancroft, divorced sometime before 1865. There is no gravestone for Elizabeth, but her obituary says she was buried in Baker Cemetery. Her two children, Thomas L. Bancroft and Alida Bancroft Payne are buried there. After her daughter, Alida died in June 1900, she cared for her 4 grandchildren, who in turn cared for her in her old age.
