WICHITA - Lyle Lester Field, 90, died Feb. 12, 2013, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.

He was born April 3, 1922, to Lee Charles and Hattie Ruth Hoag Field in Rural Reno County.

He served in the Army during World War II and was a self-employed electrician.

Survivors include: son, Edward Field and wife Katy of Topeka, Kan.; daughter, Lorena Kite and husband Kyle of Wichita, Kan.; granddaughter, Valerie Wilhelmson and husband Curtis of Emporia, Kan.; grandsons, Jason Field and wife Morgan of Hutchinson, Kan., Jared Kite and Seth Kite, both of Wichita, Kan.; five great grandchildren and a great great-grandchild; sisters, Wanda Nichols of Hutchinson, Kan., Mildred Dirksen of Wichita, Kan., Norma Jean Mohr of Shawnee, Kan. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Randy Field; brothers, Aaron, Ralph, and Orville Field; and sister, Pauline Horton.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson, with military honors conducted by Ft. Riley Honor Guard. Family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
