Mildred Dirksen, 84, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016, with her family by her side. She was born February 27, 1932, in Hutchinson, Kansas, to Lee and Hattie (Hoag) Field.

She attended Buhler High School. Later she became an ICU Nurse working for Hutchinson Hospital. She was a member of the Hutchinson Seventh-day Adventist Church where she enjoyed working with various children and youth groups, and she was always ready for a game of Rook.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; Virgil V. Dirksen, son; Michael Dirksen, siblings; Orville Field, Pauline (Field) Horton, Lyle Field, Ralph Field, and Aaron Field.

She is survived by daughter; Deanna (David) Mizer, sisters; Wanda Nichols and Norma Jean Mohr, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside service 2 P.M. on Tuesday May 31, 2016, at Memorial Park Cemetery.
