FRIONA - Guy "Slim" Hudson, 77, died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2002.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Calvary Baptist Church in Friona with the Rev. Alvin Petty, pastor, and the Rev. Dave Bonner of Portales, N.M., officiating. Burial will be in Friona Cemetery by Blackwell Funeral Home.
Mr. Hudson was a cowboy and had lived in Friona since 1971, moving from Hereford. He was a veteran of the Navy, serving in World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Marquitta; four sons, Bub and Elvis, both of Lazbuddie, Frank of Hereford and Randy of Nazareth; three daughters, Debbie Abeyta of Friona, Joyce Gotchie of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Linda Woody of Slaton; two stepdaughters, Tamiqua Phillips of Friona and Tammy Price of Clovis, N.M.; two stepsons, Raymond Cash of Lipan and Todd Cash of San Francisco; four sisters, Loretta White, Marlene Wright and Danova Bromlow, all of Hereford, and Cormeda Langford of Lubbock; a brother, Jim Hudson of Dyre, Nev.; 23 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch; or a favorite charity.
