BRUCE - Marjorie Clark. Passed away peacefully on Monday, May 23, 2005 at Central Park Lodge, Ottawa. She was predeceased by her parents Frederick C.H. and Jessie (Clark) Bruce, brother Douglas (Margaret) of Regina and sister Dorothy Burnyeat, of Saskatoon. Marjorie is lovingly remembered by brother-in-law Fred Burnyeat, niece Donna Bruce and nephew Robert (Bob) Burnyeat (Kathy) of Saskatoon, nephew Bruce Burnyeat (Marlene) of Calgary, niece Beverly Bergman (Clifford), Springside SK, and nephew Glen Bruce, Vancouver . She is also survived by four great-nephews, three great-nieces and five great-great-nephews. Born in 1913 in Regina, Marjorie moved to Ottawa in 1939 to begin a long and successful career in the federal civil service including many years as senior secretary at the National Research Council. An active participant in many sports, Marj was also an avid sports enthusiast, never losing her much-tested loyalty to the Saskatchewan Roughriders. She was also a long-standing member of Dominion Chalmers United Church and an active member of UCW Unit #7. A family service and burial will take place in Regina. Arrangements in care of the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry . In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to the Salvation Army or the Ottawa Food Bank, two of the many worthy organizations Marjorie supported. condolences/donations at www.mcgarryfamily.ca
