Mary "Elaine" Murray, age 87, of Klamath Falls, Ore., died Dec. 30, 2012, after a short illness.
Elaine was born Dec. 9, 1925, in Taylorsville, Miss., to William Henry Stringer and Nellie JoAnne Gray Stringer. She wed Patrick David Murray in June 1965. They traveled extensively as he was serving in the United States Air Force until he retired to Klamath Falls.
She was a beloved mother, sister and grandmother too well loved to be forgottened. She was also a master gardener, growing large vegetable and flower gardens anywhere in the United States.
To treasure their beloved mother's memory are her children Michael Manley and wife Dorris of Richmond, Texas, Sheila Traver and husband Roger of Klamath Falls, Douglas Manley of Klamath Falls, Susie Wilkes and husband Mike of Katy, Texas, and Richard Murray and wife Rhonda of Burleson, Texas. They gifted her with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also leaves two sisters Pat and Nelda Sue and many other relatives in the south coastal states.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, husband Patrick, her brothers Billie Ray, Bobby Joe, and Jimmy Dale Stringer, and sister Barbara Jean as a young child.
