Mrs. Ethel Todd Russell, 73, of 400 Pitman Avenue in Campbellsville, daughter of the late J. P. Todd and Mrs. Sallie Shepherd Todd, was born in Adair County, Kentucky, December 24, 1903. She died at 10:25 a.m., Monday, January 24, 1977, at Taylor County Hospital in Campbellsville where she had been a patient for the past two weeks. She had professed faith in Christ early in life and was of the Baptist faith. She united in marriage to Mr. Dewey Russell, November 14, 1925. He preceded her in death April 12, 1972. She is survived by two brothers and two sisters: Mrs. Sallie Farris of Campbellsville, Route 5, Mr. Bill Todd of Columbia, Route 1, Mr. John Todd of Louisville, and Mrs. Winnie Burkett of Columbus, Ohio; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 26, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Chapel in Campbellsville by Rev. Elwood Norris. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers were William Chewning, Richard Todd, George Todd, W. L. Farris, Jr., Clelland Hubbard, and Howard Kerr.
