1975 after many years
of service. Mr. Avis
was a Judo .Instructor
and enjoyed deer
hunting every year
with his buddies. Mr.
Avis was preceded in
death by his son,
Jimm. Surviving are
his wife, Winifred;
daughter, Linda; sister,
Helen Staker of Kan-
sas City, MO; and 2
nephews. Funeral ser-
vices will be held
Tuesday, August 13,
1991 at 2 p.m. at the
Palmer-Bush Lansing
Chapel with Rev. Isa-
bell Deppe of Potter
Park United Methodist
Church officiating. In-
terment will follow at
Evergreen Cemetery.
