Phyllis, or Phyllasy as she was called by her Aunt Clara, was a real down to earth, go-getter. Her other nickname was "faggie," short in Yiddish fegaleh, meaning little bird, which is the reason for the bird on her headstone. She met her beloved Joey whilst visiting her Aunt Clara's home in Waterford, MI and Joey was visiting some relatives in Michigan. It was love at first sight. Phyllis was a beloved daughter, granddaughter, wife, sister, mother, grandmother, cousin and friend. She was a blessing to her family.
