AUBURN - My uncle, John L. Mitchell, formerly of 29 Warren Road died in his home following a heart attack. He had just had a check-up with a clean bill of health the day before. He felt wonderful and was on his way to buy a new car. He had just gotten dressed and bent down to tie his shoes, while sitting in his chair. He had a heart attack and collapsed to his death.
He left his wife, Ruth V. (Sinkus) Mitchell; two sons, John C. Mitchell who joined him in heaven on 6/8/07 and Kenneth W. Mitchell of Milford, CT, two sisters, Loretta N. (Mitchell) Waskevich and Marie M. (Mitchell) Lavine, and several nephews and nieces. His two brothers, George Mitchell and William A. Mitchell, and a son, James Mitchell, predeceased him.
He was born in Worcester, son of Louis Mitchell and Loretta (Winding) Mitchell, and lived here most of his life. He was a United States Army veteran, serving in WWII.
Uncle Johnny was a great philosopher and loved to talk. He was a wonderful man and is sadly missed.

Love,
Susan
