My dear uncle, William L. Mitchell, of Westerly, Rhode Island, died in his home of a heart attack in the spring of 1970. He left behind, his wife, Ann Mitchell (Born in May, 1924)and one son, William L. Mitchell, Jr. He also left one brother, John L. Mitchell, married to Ruth V. (Sinkus) Mitchell of Auburn, MA, and two sisters, Loretta Nelsina (Mitchell Waskevich)Groleau; Marie M. (Mitchell) Lavine, married to Robert Lavine. He also had a brother George Mitchell who died when he was 11 months old.
He was the son of the late Louis and Loretta (Winding) Mitchell.
He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Uncle Billy had a beautiful voice and sang at my wedding reception.
He was full of fun, from the time he was young and was always joking and kidding around. He was a wonderful man and is sadly missed by all who knew him. I look forward to the day I will hear Uncle Billy sing again.

Love,
Susan
