She was born March 31, 1912, in Suffield, daughter of the late Clarence and Stella (Hayes) Humason and had lived in Simsbury and Tariffville prior to moving to Granby. Mrs. Brown was employed as a teller at the Simsbury Bank & Trust for many years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the South Congregational Church in Granby.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Elliott C. and Velma Brown of East Granby; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jilda and Ivan Bidstrut of Enfield, Janet and Richard Berens of Leesburg, FL; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, James Brown; two brothers, James and Lawrence Humason and a grandson.

A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Mark E. Diters officiating. Burial will be in Simsbury Cemetery.
