Barbara Jennings Kingery, of Salem, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 12, 2013. She was preceded in death by her father, Herman W. Jennings and mother, Dorothy Sims Jennings, husband, Robert L. Kingery.
She is survived by brothers, G. Donald Jennings (Patricia), Ronald Wayne Jennings (Donna) and sister, Joyce Ann McGevna (Robert). Nieces, Leslie Lynn Jennings, Kimberly Jennings, Cynthia Jennings and nephews, Bobby Womack, Richard Jennings and Eric Jennings. Special friends, Heironimus Co-Workers, Larry and Jean Sink, Maria and Luisa Aquilar, Tom, Claudia and Julian Basey.
Barbara worked for Heironimus for over 50 years, starting as a Sales Associate working up to Buyer and finally Store Manager at various locations. She was loved and respected by her colleagues.
Barbara was a loving wife to Robert for 49 years. They enjoyed bowling, travel, bingo and casinos. She was a special and generous aunt to all of her nieces and nephews, treating them to travel and entertainment. She was an avid baseball, golf and NASCAR fan.
Barbara was a kind and generous friend to all.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Oakey's North Chapel, with the Rev. Tom Reeves officiating. The entombment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Oakey's North Chapel.
