Ruth Bliek, 80, of Sioux City died Sunday in a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.
Services will be held Thursday in Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, the Rev. Paul Mueller of Redeemer Lutheran Church officiating.
Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Rock Valley.
She was the former Ruth Brinkman, born in Putnam, Holland; came to the United States in 1916; married John Bliek in 1927. She had lived in Doon and Rock Valley before moving to Sioux City in 1952.
Mrs. Bliek was of the Dutch Reformed Faith.
Survivors include seven sons, Arie, Henry, Marion and Don, all of Sioux City, Richard of Sacramento, California, Fred of Atlanta, Georgia, and David of West Palm Beach, Florida; two brothers, Henry of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Peter of Rock Valley; a sister, Dora Arnolds of Ellsworth, Minnesota; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
