Mrs. Henry Van Veldhuizen, 80, of Sioux Center died Monday, Dec. 19, at her home.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22, at the Central Reformed Church in Sioux Center. The Rev. Dennis Wilcox officiated. Burial was in the Memory Garden Cemetery under the direction of the Memorial Funeral Home.

Mrs. Van Veldhuizen, the former Dena Brinkman, was born Oct. 17, 1903, in The Netherlands.

She came to the United States in 1916. She married Henry Van Veldhuizen March 5, 1924, at Sioux Center. They lived there ever since. She was a member of the Central Reformed Church and the Missionary Circle.

Survivors include her husband; five daughters, Mrs. Cornelius (Greta) Van Middendorp and Mrs. Henry (Everna) Wallenburg of Ripon, Calif., Mrs. Marvin (Henrietta) Van Der Weide of Orange City, Mrs. Arnold (Pearl) Sohl of Doon and Mrs. Marlo (Della) Muth of Akron; three sons, John of Doon, Bernard of Rock Valley and Lester of Hull; two brothers, Peter Brinkman of Rock Valley and Henry Brinkman of Sioux Falls; two sisters, Ruth Bliek of Sioux City and Mrs. Ornel (Dora) Arends of Ellsworth, Minn.; 32 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
