Funeral Services Today For Earl Lindsay
Funeral Services for Earl Lindsay, age 83, of Hodge, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 28, in the Buck Edmonds Memorial Chapel in Jonesboro.
Rev. W.J. Runnells will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Fellowship Cemetery near Quitman, under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Mr. Lindsay, a retired employee of Continental Can Company, died Tuesday afternoon, June 26, in the Jackson Parish Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Earl Lindsay of Hodge, two daughters, Mr. Virgil Carter of Hodge and Mrs. Drewett Bethard of Orange, Texas;
Two sons, Aubrey Lindsay of Yorba Linda, Calif., and Durwood Lindsay of Beaumont, Texas; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive.
The body will lie in state at Edmonds Funeral Home until time for services.
