"McQUISTON - On the 9th instant, Alexander McQuiston, son of the late Robert and Elizabeth McQuiston. The relatives and friends of the family, also Gerble Post, No 24, G. A. R. are respectfully invited to attend the funeral on Sunday afternoon at 3.30 o'clock, from his brother0in-law's residence, John Selfridge, No. 769 South Thirteenth street, Interment at Mechanic Cemetery"

Alexander enlisted into Co. E, 81st pa. Inf. on April 4, 1864 at Philadelphia. he was wounded in the right knee. He was taken prisoner Aug. 15, 1864 at Deep Bottom. He was held at Libby and Belle Isle Prison and the Salisbury Prison until Feb. 27, 1865. He was discharged June 15, 1865.
