JOSEF MLEZIVA
(1863 - 1916)

"In the midst of life we are in death."
Such was the case of Joseph Mleziva, who was ill only 24 hours, when death came to his relief. He was suddenly taken ill early Wednesday morning. In the evening of the same day he was taken to a Green Bay hospital to be operated upon. It was thought at first he had appendicitis but when the surgeons examined him, no hope for his life was held out. A blood vessel had burst and blood poisoning set in. At 6 o'clock Thursday morning he passed away to his home beyond.

He was 53 years old at the time of his death and leaves to mourn for him a wife, two daughters and one son. They are Mrs. Anton Spevachek of Manitowoc and Frank and Carrie at home. He also leaves one brother and an aged mother.

The funeral was held Monday and burial was at Greenstreet with Father Brown officiating. A large concourse of friends attested the popularity and high esteem in which he was held by following him to his last resting place.

Sympathy is extended to the bereaving family.
