EBER WILLEY DEAD
Eber Willey, whose illness was noted by this paper last week, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs R. F. Beasley, of Main street, Avis, Monday afternoon, at 3 o'clock, aged 79 years. His death was due to complication of ailments.

Mr Willey enlisted in 1864 with the Second West Virginia Cavalry of the Union Army and in May 1865 he mustered out after the Grand Review in Washington, with an honorable discharge. He was married on Oct 12, 1865 to Miss Eliza Ellen Lilly and to the union 10 children were born.
Mr Willey was a member of the Wolf Creek Methodist church and was a highly respected man.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs J. L. Workman of Carbon and Mrs R. F. Beasley, of Avis, and four sons S .R. and John, of this city, Haze, of Buck, and Eber of Powley's Creek and one brother, Abijah, of Bellepoint.
Funeral services were held from the Beasley home a 10 o'clock Tuesday morning. The services were in charge of Revs. Bowling and T. C. Horn. Burial was in the Cales cemetery on Zion mountain.
