Kauffman, 25, born Hampden Twp., daughter of George & Cora (Zimmerman) Kauffman, were married December 23, 1924 at Silver Spring Manse, Hampden. Both state no previous marriages. William J. Bear, 96, Fairview Street, died last night at his home. He was 74 years old.

He was a veteran of World War I and was a member of Post No. 109, American Legion, Mechanicsburg.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie F. Bear; two brothers, Frank P., RD5, Carlisle, and Orie, Plainfield; and four sisters, Mrs. Bessie Reynolds, MR., Mechanicsburg; Mrs. Chester Wetzel, Greason, and Mrs. Abner Shugart and Mrs. Sarah Hoover, both of Mt. Holly Springs.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Myers Funeral Home, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg. Rev. Theodore E. Elser will officiate. Burial will be in the Kutz Church Cemetery.

Friends may call on Friday until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
