Dorothy Edith Brown was born in Hollisterville, a small community in northeastern Pennsylvania, to Charles Elsworth Brown and Dora S.(Potter) Brown in January 1909. She married Howard Richard Enslin, son of William and Emma Enslin and together they raised three children (Richard William born 1934, Dale Allen, born 1939, and Virginia, born 1942) on their farm in Varden PA. Howard died in 1960 and she married Edwin Andrews several years later. They moved to Daytona Beach Fl in 1963 and lived in Florida the remainder if their lives. Following the death of Edwin Dorothy lived with her son Richard in Holly Hill Fl until her death at the age of 89. She passed away at Memorial Hospital, Ormond Beach FL about a week after having surgery.

She was my husband's mother, was a great cook and could sew just about anything.
