Service arrangements are pending at Newcomer-Diffenderfer Funeral Home for William West, 86, Tupelo, Miss., who died shortly after arrival at a Mansfield, Ohio hospital Monday. He had a heart attack while en route from his home to Lake Peekskill, N.Y.

He was born March 7, 1891, in Topeka where he spent his early life. He lived in St. Louis before he moved to Tupelo, Miss. about 20 years ago.

A son, Howard West, died in 1973.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Gallo, Lake Peekskill, N.Y., Mrs. Billie Palmer, Matteson, Ill., and Mrs. Sara Lou Stallard, 5232 S.W. Vorse Road; three sons, Art West, Santee, Calif., Virgil West, Lincoln, Neb., and Robert West, Glen Ellyn, Ill.; five sisters, Velma West and Pearl West, both at 1923 Hudson, Mrs. Florence Frost, 314 W. 5th, Mrs. Nellie Doty, 1040 College, and Mrs. Elizabeth Slawson, Wichita; two brothers, Ralph West, 2214 E. 10th, and Dewey West, Topeka; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

BUrial will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery.
