Mrs. Frieda Gruett, 84, of Route 1, Hilbert, died Sunday, Dec. 20, at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton following a short illness.
Funeral services will be at Trinity Lutheran Church, town of Rantoul. The Rev. Ferdinand Timler will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Gruett was born July 16, 1897, in the town of Charlestown, daughter of the late Herman and Ann Zarnoth Jentsch. She was married to Otto Gruett Oct. 28, 1916, in the town of Rantoul. The couple farmed in the town of Rantoul until 1967, when Mrs. Gruett went to live with her son-in-law, Eric Fuhrmann. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, town of Rantoul.
Survivors are two sons and daughters-in-law, Ervin and Florence of Potter, and Marvin and Enola of Ellisville, Mo.; two daughters, Mrs. Erna Evenson of Valders and Mrs. Roland (Loretta) Behnke of Route 2, Brillion; a son-in-law, Erich Fuhrmann of Hilbert; two brothers, Walter Jentsch of Route 1 Hilbert and Robert Jentsch of Manitowoc; three sisters, Mrs. Lydia Bratz of Reedsville, Mrs. Anna Krueger of Route 1, Brillion, and Mrs. Helen Schroeder of Brillion; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in April of 1968, two daughters, a grandchild and six brothers.
