Mrs. Lydia A Bratz, age 88, of North Ridge Care Center, Manitowoc, formerly of Reedsville, passed away at the Care Center on Thursday, June 22, 1989.

Mrs. Bratz was born November 24, 1900, in Charlestown, daughter of the late Herman and Anna Zarnoth Jentsch. She married August Bratz on Nov. 19, 1921. She farmed with her husband in Rural Reedsville. She was a member of St. John-St. James Lutheran Church, Reedsville.

Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law; Leona and Adolph Burich, Hildegard and Gilford Schultz, Virginia and Herbert Maas, all of Reedsville, Lydia and Clarence Kolberg of New Holstein; one stepdaughter, Lucille Wagner of Valders; two sons and daughters-in-law; John and Marilyn Bratz of Reedsville and August and Esther Bratz of Appleton; two step-sons and step-daughters-in-law; Harold and Helen Bratz and Oscar and Germaine Bratz, all of Brillion; 11 grandchildren; 16 step-grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 22step great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; a sister Anna Krueger of Chilton; one sister-in-law; Caroline Jentsch of Potter; two brother and sisters-in-law; Robert and Florence Jentsch of Manitowoc and Walter and Shirley Jentsch of Potter. Preceding her in death were her husband on Jan. 5, 1966, a step-grandchild, four sisters and five brothers.

Funeral service was at St. John-St. James Lutheran Church, Reedsville, with the Rev. David Kipfmiller officiating. Interment was in Westside Cemetery in Reedsville.
