Services for Mr. Roy Durden, 80, of Soperton, will be held in the Blackville Church of God at 2 p.m. today with the Rev. David Edenfield officiating. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery with Sammons Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Durden was a son of the late Lewis Cogle Durden and the late Mary Toler Durden Bussell. He was preceded in death by a brother, Rayford Durden; a sister, Jessie Smith; and a nephew, Steve Durden. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Blackville Church of God and was retired. He died Friday.
