Mrs. Adaline White, widow of Isaac Pennington White, died at the residence of her son, Henry S. White, on Prospect avenue, on Monday afternoon. Her maiden name was Adaline Simmons and she was born August 26, 1813, at Vienna (now called Phelps) in Ontario county, New York. She was married November 2d, 1842. She was the mother of three children--Henry S., who survives her, Theodore S. and James S. Theodore died in early manhood and James when a lad of twelve. Her husband, who was one of the oldest settlers of Red Bank, died on January 28th, 1876. Mrs. White was one of a large family. She now has living one brother, James J. Simmons of Buffalo, and one sister, Mrs. Caroline Clark of New York city. She became a member of the Red Bank Presbyterian church in 1866 and was a regular attendant upon all the church services until her growing feebleness prevented. She was a Christian in word and deed, being faithful to her home duties and sincere in her church relations. The funeral service will be held tomorrow afternoon at two o'clock at her son's residence and Rev. F. R. Harbaugh will officiate. The interment will be made in Fair View cemetery.
