POPE, BERNICE, 72, of Lakeland, formerly of Tampa, died Tuesday (April 11, 2000) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Born in Covington County, Ala., she came here 47 years ago. She was a retired owner and operator of Bea's Convenience Store and Pineview Mobile Home Park. She was a member of Crystal Lake Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Richard Ray; four sons; two daughters; her mother, Eunice McDaniel, Plant City; four sisters, Grace Elliott, Douglas, Ga., Shirlene Leverett, Seffner, and Sybil Barron and Louise Ginn, both of Plant City; 18 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
