The marriage license and certificate attesting to the marriage of Mary and Walter L. Cronkite, Jr. on March 27, 1940 in Jackson County, MO. They were wed by the Rev. Claude W. Sprouse (q.v.) dean of the Grace & Holy Trinity Cathedral in Kansas City.

Betsy's and Walter's ashes are interred in Block 8, directly east of the large Temple Mausoleum at the main entrance to the cemetery at 105th & Holmes Rd.
