Mr. Charles Thomas Bandy 80, of Clinton, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2012. He was born May 16, 1932 at Litchfield, Illinois to the late Guy Owen and Orah Myrtle (Hefley) Bandy.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran having served in Korea, Iceland and Greenland. He was a member of Crabtree Foursquare Church. He was a long haul truck driver and was a team along with his wife, Bettie spending 17 years on the road together. He traveled many miles across 48 states.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Bettie S. (Alexander) Bandy of the home, son, Dietrich C. Bandy and wife Kim R. of Clinton, AR; daughters, Cynthia Ann Ballard and husband, Earl of Greenbriar, AR; Shelley Lemings of Clinton, AR and Brandy Lewis of Batesville, AR; seven grandchildren, Jared Bandy, Cajor Bandy, Christopher Bounds, Kala Bounds, Shelton Merrill, Jason Merrill and Courtney Bailey, five great-grandchildren, Aaron Merrill, Jaydon Merrill, Ryan Bounds, Savangh Bounds and Abigale; sister, Wanda Baker of Litchfield, IL; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
