Lucy Eulene Rush Mullins, age 90 of London, KY, widow of James Russell Mullins, passed away on Wednesday, May 31 at Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin, KY.
She leaves behind two children, James Carson Mullins and wife Anita, Nancy Carol Asher and husband Glenn, all of London, KY; five grandchildren, James Mullins and wife Constantine, Jerry Mullins and wife Angie, Russ Asher and wife Carol Ann, Chad Asher, Joshua Asher and wife Lindsay; eight great-grandchildren, Keely, Cordland and Christian Mullins, Bryson, Brayden, Baylee, Christopher, Cooper, Joslin and Jackson Asher; sisters-in-law, Nola Burnell, Lois Reed and Mildred Beckner, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, James Calvin Rush & Nannie Gilbert Rush and eight siblings, John S. Rush, Irene Rush, Maggie Cottongim, Dora Smith, Felix Rush, Elmer Rush, Kelly Rush and Cora Bentley.
She was a teacher at Mt. Ararat School in Knox County, KY and member of Blackwater United Baptist Church. She will forever be remembered and greatly missed by all her family and friends.
Funeral services for Lucy Eulene Rush Mullins will be conducted on Saturday, June 3 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Jerry Brown and Gene Beckner officiating. Burial will follow in the Providence Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour, also on Saturday at the funeral home.
