Vergie McCoggins, 82, of Colfax died at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Rapides General Hospital.

She was the widow of Earl McCoggins.

Survivors include one son, Herbert McCoggins of Tulsa, Okla.; one daughter, Ruth Scott of Colfax; four brothers, Koran Guillott and Leon Guillott, both of Echo, W.T. Guillot and Leman Guillott both of Shreveport; four sisters, Hortense Goad of Tioga, Velma Brown, Irene Brossett and Lunie Roy all of Shreveport; eight grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren.

Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today in the chapel of Hixson Bros., Pineville.

Services will be in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
