He was a disciple of Pierre Bourdieu and Raymond Aron. Among his major books are "The psychiatric order: the golden age of alienism", "The risks management: from the anti-psychiatry to the post-analysis", "Social insecurity. What is being protected?" and "Negative discrimination: Indians or Citizens?".
