My (maternal) Grandpa Benny...gone from us too soon.

Aubrey (Ben) Anglen, 59, passed away after suffering several massive strokes.

He was in the Army and, while stationed near Galena, KS (to help keep the peace during the mining strikes), he met his future wife, Ruth Langford.

Grandpa worked for Universal Construction Company in Kansas City as a supervisor. He was a member of the Masons and I remember someone referring to him as "The Grand Poobah", which I found hilarious so I would call him that when I was goofing around with him.

He was an avid sports fan and always had his transistor radio close by so, if a game was on, he could slip his ear piece in and listen away. He liked the Chiefs and the Angels.

He was a member of Grandview Baptist Church, serving as a Deacon there until his passing.

Loving husband of Ruth (Langford) Anglen; father of Aubrey (Paul), Peggy, Charles, Nancy, Patty, Gary, Cathy Sue and Stephen.

Cause of death: Stroke
