Gary N. Anglen, 69, of Tampa, FL, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Tuesday, August 4th.
Born in Kansas City, KS, to Aubrey Sylvester "Ben" and Ruth Langford Anglen, Gary graduated from Wyandotte High School and moved to the Tampa Bay area in 1973.
Gary retired from the Air Force after 22 years.
He was an active member of West Shore Baptist Church as a sound technician, Sunday school secretary, and building and grounds committee member.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Ben Anglen; sisters, Nancy Greenberg, Patti Jones, Cathy Sue Easterly; brother, Charles Anglen.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Rachel Anglen; son, Carl (Kristi) Anglen; daughter, Tammy Farnsworth; grandchildren: Matthew, Joseph, and Marsha Farnsworth; brother, Paul Anglen; sister, Peggy (Clay) Noah; and brother, Stephen Anglen.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 23rd at 2pm at West Shore Baptist Church, 305 N. Manhattan Ave.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Gary’s name to West Shore Baptist Church. Arrangements handled by Blount & Curry MacDill, 813-876-2421.
