Graveside services for Cary Rogers Acy, of Corpus Christi, Texas, were 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at Old Silver Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Acy, 71, died and was given the gift of heavenly life on Nov. 24, 2009, at her residence. She was born in Mississippi on Aug. 5, 1938, to Cary Jackson Rogers and Maxie Jim Hathorn.
She was self-employed. She was a retired bookkeeper. She was a member of Arm Baptist Church.
Mrs. Acy will be missed by all who felt her love and support. She had a unique zest for life that made all who met her want to be a part of that life.
Preceding her in death was her beloved husband of 44 years, Frank Acy; her parents, Cary and Maxie Hathorn Rogers; and her brother, Trent Rogers, all of Monticello.
Survivors are her sons, Wayne Acy, of Monticello, and Mike Acy, of Houston, Texas; her daughter, Ava Hopkins, of Corpus Christi; her grandchildren, Trey Hopkins, Franklin Acy III and wife, Amber, Amy Wyatt and husband, Tavin, Angela Acy, Elizabeth Acy and Sierra Acy; and her great-grandchildren, Franklin Acy IV, Tyler Watt, Brayden Hopkins and Acy Wyatt.
