Helen Gilmer, 72, of 66861 Indiana 331, Wyatt, died Tuesday afternoon in St. Joseph Hospital, Mishawaka. Mrs. Gilmer was born March 10, 1915, in South Bend.
On Sept 21, 1936, in South Bend, she married Walter Gilmer, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Carolyn Fritz of Phoenix, Ariz., and Jacqueline Blonder of Tucson, Ariz.; a son, Allen of Wyatt; four grandchildren; and two sisters, Hazel Bryant of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Dorothy Bare of South Bend. A son William preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Lienhart Funeral Home, Wakarusa. Burial will be in Bremen Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc. or St. Joseph County Cancer Society.
