Celestine Francis Unrein of Brighton, a retired barber, died Saturday at Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was 76. Unrein was born March 31, 1918, in Munjor, Kan.

Services will be today at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Brighton. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

He married Margeurite Chalker on Aug. 11, 1949, in Brighton.

He graduated from St. Joseph Military Academy in Hays, Kan., and served in the Army during World War II. He settled in Brighton and retired in 1984. Unrein was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Arthur, Denver, Eugene, Fort Lupton, and Philip, Brighton; four daughters, Mildred Swanson and Linda Russom, both of Brighton, Sarah J. Anderson, Denver, and Shirley Schissler, Fort Lupton; three brothers, Robert, Richard and Frank; a sister, Sophia Cereghino; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Augustine Catholic Church Food Fund.
