L.N. Hames
L.N. (Bud Hames, 64, Pacolet Mills merchant, died at a local hospital Sunday night at 11 following a brief illness.
The son of the late Samuel Willis and Sallie Brown Hames, he was born Aug. 29, 1883. He resided with his niece, Mrs. Faye Wells at Pacolet Route 1.
He is survived by 5 sisters, Mrs. Leila Reid and Mrs. L.B. Kirby, both of Pacolet Route 1, Mrs. W.W. Lancaster and Mrs. Lula Adams, both of Spartanburg, and Mrs. J.L. Penland of Inman; a brother, Boyce Hames of Pacolet Route 1, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The body will remain at the J.F. Floyd Mortuary until Wednesday morning at 10 when it will be taken to the home of his sister, Mrs. Leila Reid on Pacolet Route 1.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 at the home of his sister, Mrs. Leila Reid at Pacolet by the Revs. W.T. Tate and H.E. Bullington. Burial will follow in the Hames family cemetery.
Pallbearers will be William, Barron, and Edward Lancaster, William Adams, Cole Wells, and Winfred Reid.

PACOLET, Jan. 27--Funeral services for L.N. (Bud) Hames, 64, Pacolet Mills merchant, who died at a local hospital Sunday night at 11 following a brief illness, will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 at the home of his sister, Mrs. Leila Reid on Pacolet Route 1.
Services will be conducted by the Revs. W.T. Tate and H.E. Bullington. Burial will follow in the Hames family cemetery.
Pallbearers will be; William, Barron, and Edward Lancaster, William Adams, Cole Wells, and Winfred Reid.
The body is at the home of MRs. Reid.
The J.F. Floyd Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
