Agnita S. Nennig, age 87, of 533 E. Calumet St. Chilton died on Saturday September 17, 2005 at Century Ridge in Chilton.
She was born on April 22, 1918 in St. John daughter of the late Mathias and Mary (Mirsberger) Kees.
She married Victor Nennig on April 6, 1937 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in St. John. She and her husband farmed for many years in the Tn. of Chilton. He preceded her in death on April 24, 1991.
Agnita was a member of Good Shepherd Parish, the choir, served as past-president for the Christian Mothers, Daughters of Isabella and also the Chilton Eagles Aux. She also belonged to the Calumet Medical Center Aux., Calumet County Homemakers, and the Catholic Knights. Agnita served as a 4-H leader, enjoyed volunteering at the Salvatorian Center, and enjoyed golfing, gardening, canning, freezing, baking, and making jams. Another love of Agnita's was the theater, and enjoyed taking her family on many trips to the Fireside Theater.
She is survived by 7 children; Mary (Rod) Ronk of Chilton, Susan (Floyd) Piepenburg of Chilton, Robert (Debbie) Nennig of Sherwood, Ginny (Jack) Webb of Fond du Lac, Richard (Kathy) Nennig of Chilton, David (Lyla) Nennig of Aurora, WI, Linda (Curtis) Puckett of Fallbrook, CA, 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren; 7 step great grandchildren; a brother; Paul Kees of St. John, a sister-in-law; Bernita Kees of Sheboygan, and a brother and sister-in-law; Harold (Gladys) Nennig of Newton.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter-in-law; Mary Nennig, two brothers and sister-in-law; Francis Kees and Leonard (Ione) Kees, and a sister and brother-in-law; Sally (Max) Gehrman, and a sister-in-law Viola Kees.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday September 20, 2005 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church St. Mary's campus in Chilton with the Rev. Gregory Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Knollwood Mausoleum. Friends may call at Wieting Family Funeral Home, 411 W. Main St. Chilton from 4 to 8 PM on Monday September 19, 2005 and again on Tuesday at the Church from 10 AM until the time of service. A parish prayer service and Eagles Aux. service will be held Monday evening at the funeral home.
