Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic church, Alverno. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. David Beaudry, with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.
He was born August 10, 1913, in Manitowoc, son of the late John and Mary Popp Neuser. Elmer attended St. Joseph Catholic School and Rapids Grade School. On November 23, 1938, he married the former Blanche Braun, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Whitelaw.
Mr. Neuser farmed his entire life time on the family farm in the town of Manitowoc Rapids, retiring in 1976. Elmer was an original member of the Lake to Lake Dairy Co-op. He was a 50 year member of the Catholic Knights Branch #298 and he and his wife were members of many card clubs. Mr. Neuser was a member of the Manitowoc Senior Center, Whitelaw Senior Center and various farm organizations.
Survivors include his wife, Blanche; five sons and four daughters-in-law, Robert and Marilyn Neuser, Anchorage, Alaska, Ed Neuser, Anchorage, Alaska, David and Rosemary Neuser, Ferndale, Wash., Eugene and Peggy Neuser, Manitowoc, Daniel and Vickie Neuser, Manitowoc; five daughters and four sons-in-law, Barbara and Donald Stammer, Appleton, Mary Jean and Bill McClary, Anchorage, Alaska, Donna and Peter Hunt, Francis Creek, Carolyn and Tim Bauch, Anchorage, Alaska, Rosemary Peters, Manitowoc; 26 grandchildren; one sister, Lorraine Lancione, Morton Grove, Ill.; one sister-in-law, Elenore Swetlik, Manitowoc; and a brother-in-law, Ben Fischer, Manitowoc.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ronald; five sisters, Eleanor Fischer, Lucille Rohr, Arlene Fischer, Rose Herman and Marie Gresl.
