John Neuser, 81, formerly of 1030 N. 13th St., Manitowoc, died Thursday night at Manitowoc County Hospital where he had resided two years.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 10 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church. The Rev. E.A. Radey will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Mr. Neuser was born Oct. 8, 1881, at Manitowoc Rapids, son of the late John and Mary Heinrichs Neuser. The lifelong Manitowoc County resident married Mary Popp June 13, 1906. She died April 2, 1944, and June 12, 1950, he married Jennie Gill. He owned and operated a farm and hay business on Rt. 4, Manitowoc, until 1942, when he retired and came to Manitowoc. He kept the hay business until 1947. Mr. Neuser was a member of Holy Name Society of Holy Innocents Church, Catholic Knights of Wisconsin and a 50-year member of Catholic Order of Foresters.

Surviving are his wife, six daughters, Mrs. George Fischer, Mrs. Ben Fischer and Mrs. Oscar Gresl of Manitowoc, Mrs. Joseph Mailand of Rt. 1, Manitowoc, Mrs. Henry Herman of Milwaukee and Mrs. James Lancioni of Evanston, Ill., a son, Elmer, of Rt. 4, Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. Ida Renzelman of Sheboygan and Mrs. Margaret Pfefferle of Milwaukee; 32 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Sunday where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. by Holy Name Society, Catholic Order of Foresters and Catholic Knights of Wisconsin members.
